This notice explains personal-data processing connected with this portfolio and contacting me. The portfolio has no analytics, advertising trackers, embedded social feeds, or contact form.
Who is responsible?
Marcin Czernecki, based in Katowice, Poland, is the controller of personal data processed for this website and correspondence addressed to him. For privacy questions or requests, email work@mczernecki.pl.
Visiting the website
Delivering web pages requires processing technical information such as your IP address, the requested URL, request time, browser information, and response status. The hosting service may record this information in access, error, or security logs.
The purpose is to deliver the site, diagnose faults, and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Email correspondence
Email links open your email application. No message is sent merely by clicking a link. If you email me, I receive your email address, any name you provide, your message, attachments, and associated email metadata.
I use this information to reply and handle your inquiry. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in responding to correspondence (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract where applicable (Article 6(1)(b)). If a legal obligation requires processing, Article 6(1)(c) applies.
Providing information is voluntary, but I need an address and sufficient details to respond. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your inquiry.
Service providers
OVH provides hosting and email services for this website. Data needed to deliver those services may be processed by OVH and its relevant service providers. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Processing locations, subprocessors, and any international-transfer safeguards depend on the specific OVH services and contractual arrangements. This notice does not assert that all processing takes place within the European Economic Area. You can request information about the arrangements relevant to your data by email.
How long data is kept
Retention is determined by the purpose of processing. Technical logs are needed for service operation, troubleshooting, and security; their retention depends on the hosting configuration and applicable OVH service settings.
Correspondence is retained for the time needed to resolve the inquiry and any resulting professional relationship. Relevant records may need to be retained longer where required by law or necessary for legal claims. Retention should not exceed what is necessary for those purposes. Contact me for information about the retention applicable to your correspondence.
Cookies and browser storage
The portfolio application does not set cookies or use localStorage or sessionStorage. It does not include analytics, advertising, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. Animation controls keep their state only in page memory and reset when the page is reloaded.
Fonts, icons, images, and scripts are served with the website. Loading the page does not request fonts from Google or load LinkedIn or GitHub embeds. Your browser may cache these files as part of normal page delivery.
No cookie consent banner is included because the portfolio application does not use non-essential storage or tracking that requires consent. Hosting-layer behavior is separate from the application code; any additional cookies or tracking introduced through hosting or future features must be assessed, disclosed, and, where required, blocked until consent is given.
The copy-email button writes the displayed email address to your clipboard only when you activate it. It does not read your clipboard.
External links
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, and other websites take you to services operated by third parties. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them. These links are not embedded tracking widgets.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability where applicable. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation.
Send requests to work@mczernecki.pl. I may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month; the GDPR permits an extension for complex or numerous requests, with notice to you.
You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in Poland (UODO). There is no automated decision-making or profiling through this portfolio.
Changes
This notice will be updated when relevant site features or processing arrangements change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
